Veterans History Project
The Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation provides administrative support and a venue to videotape the life histories of veterans as part of the Veterans History Project.

The Veterans History Project is a program of the Library of Congress. Its mission is “to collect, preserve, and make accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.”

Videotaping appointments can be arranged at the offices of the Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation or at the home of a veteran. Veterans from all branches of service are encouraged to participate. Combat experience is not required. This program is free to all veterans and a copy of the videotape is given to the veterans and also stored permanently in the Library of Congress.
