Pete Bowen became a Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation board member in 2022 after serving several years as a volunteer.
Pete retired from the Marine Corps Reserves after 24 years of service. In 11 years on active duty, Pete served as an AV-8B Harrier pilot/instructor with his final tour as the OIC of the NROTC at Duke University. In the Reserves, Pete served with a MTU associated with the USMC PAO, news, media, and film.
Since leaving active duty, Pete has served as the first Ethics Officer for the Los Angeles Unified School District, the President-CEO of Servite High School, the CEO of Giving Children Hope, and as a college instructor. An expert on leadership, history, culture, and ethics, Pete has more than 25-years experiences as a consultant-coach, and speaker for business and law enforcement with appearances on national television and radio, and at major universities and conferences.
