How to Donate to the Scholarship Fund
The Flying Leatherneck Historical
Foundation (FLHF) Scholarship Committee is an integral
part of the Historical Foundation. The FLHF Scholarship
Program is committed to assisting local high school seniors
with financial aid to help them continue pursuit of their
educational goals.
While only a few years
in existence, the Scholarship Fund has helped make the
dream of a college education a reality for many high school
students. In
the past two years we have awarded twelve merit-based scholarships
totaling seven-thousand dollars.
The bad news is that we had to turn
down three times as many applicants as we chose – not
enough funds!
Invest in Our Future
Our children are our future
and a college education is an incredible gift. To
be part of this effort is to be part of something that
will insure the future of this great country.
And this is where you come in. It
is requested that you consider a donation to the Foundation’s Scholarship
Fund. In the past the vast majority of the contributions
have come from the Foundation Board of Directors. We
now need to expand our donor list to include all supporters
of the Flying Leatherneck Museum!
Won’t you help us in this
most worthy cause?
We have a scholarship selection
committee and we are a member of the nationwide ‘Dollars for Scholars’ program.
This program assists us in the administration of our
program and in many cases matches our scholarship money,
dollar for dollar.
