Donate to the Restoration Fund
The vintage airplanes in our collection require a lot of “elbow grease” to bring them back to Museum Quality – we’ve recently documented over 2000 hours restoring our A-4C, and it really wasn’t in that bad a condition.
The Foundation has hired three restoration assistants to augment the museum (MCAS Miramar) employees and their efforts have significantly contributed to the increased production of restored aircraft.
Further, due to the fact that the Department of Defense budgets are stretched very tightly, the Foundation has picked up a lot of the expenses involved with acquiring new aircraft and then providing the paint and parts needed to restore those vintage machines.
You can do your part by contributing to our fenced Restoration Fund. To guarantee that your contribution will be used ONLY for that purpose, click here, then complete and send the form that you’ll see.
If you or your organization contributes $25,000.00 toward the restoration of a particular airplane in our inventory, we’ll ensure that an appropriate plaque noting that you sponsored that restoration effort is placed by that aircraft.
We thank you for doing your large (or small) part to guarantee that future generations of Americans will see and appreciate the contributions that Marine Corps aviation has made to our country.
